Mayor

City Council

School trustees

This page checks the City of Richmond every 30 seconds. The City controls when results are published; refresh may be delayed if its source is unavailable or changes format. Highlighting shows the number of available seats, not a declared winner.

What will be reported

Mayor

One candidate elected. Candidate votes, share of valid mayoral votes and reporting status will be shown.

City Council

Eight candidates elected at large. Council vote totals cannot be interpreted as mayor-style vote share because voters may select up to eight.

School trustees

Seven candidates elected. Trustee totals will remain separate from mayor and council contests.

2022 benchmark

In 2022, Malcolm Brodie was elected mayor with 23,239 votes. The City reported 49 voting opportunities counted: 38 general voting-day, 10 advance, and one mobile/mail opportunity. Those historical figures provide context only and are not a forecast for 2026.

How results will be verified

Election-night figures will be labelled preliminary until the Chief Election Officer's official declaration. Updates will record the time, number of voting places reporting, source link and whether recount or judicial-review information has been announced. Candidate multi-vote contests will never be normalized as though each voter cast only one vote.
